i.e. exploiting DLL Redirection... mentioned on neworder about five years ago (here).. finally a security advisory by microsoft (published here). Reading the advisory brought back memories. Keep up the good discussion all DLL Preloading Attacks Smile

btw, i still think this is a huge attack vector simply because there are
so many open source applications in use today that likely do load
search for DLL's in a insecure manner. - admin
